Laundry Rooms
Laundry room cabinets, shelving, utility sinks, flooring and the washer and dryer hookups behind them.
Cabinets, shelving, flooring and paint from our price list. Washer box, dryer vent, utility sink and dryer hookup work from our trade partners' quotes.
In most Collin County homes built from the 1990s on, the laundry room is a small room or a hall closet with a washer box in the wall, a dryer vent that runs to an outside wall or up through the roof, and wire shelving that was never meant to hold much. Updating it usually means cabinets or better shelving, a floor that can take a leak, and a careful look at the hookups behind the machines.
We price laundry work from photos first: the whole room, the washer box, the space behind the dryer and one photo with a tape measure. Cabinets, shelving, flooring and paint come from our price list. Hookup work such as a new washer box, a dryer vent run, a utility sink or a gas or 240-volt dryer connection is priced from our trade partners' quotes, so the number you see is a real one.
What is included
- Base and upper cabinets, a folding counter and shelving
- Utility sinks with a faucet, tied into the existing drain and supply
- Washer box replacement, new shutoff valves and washer drain pans
- Dryer vent replacement, rerouting and cleaning, with a new exterior cap
- Gas or electric dryer hookups, including a dedicated dryer circuit
- Water-resistant flooring, baseboards, drywall repair and paint
What we look for in Collin County homes
- Many laundry rooms here sit next to the garage or in the middle of the house, so the dryer vent runs a long way to reach the outside. A long or crushed vent dries slowly and collects lint, so we check the run and the cap on every laundry quote.
- A washer box that weeps or a supply hose that bursts can soak the slab and the wall behind it before anyone notices. Tell us about stains or a soft floor and we look before pricing the finish work.
- Switching a dryer from electric to gas, or gas to electric, means a new gas line or a new circuit. We flag that on the estimate so you know it is part of the job.
Ranges are typical, not quotes. Every written estimate shows a range of about 8 percent under to 12 percent over the point estimate, and the final number is confirmed on site.
Payments follow the work, with the final payment after you sign off on the punch list (payment schedule), and every job carries our written workmanship warranty.

Before you ask
Straight answers
Can you add a utility sink to my laundry room?
Usually, yes, when there is a drain and water supply in that wall, which is common where the washer box is. We confirm it from the photos and price it as its own line.
Do you install the washer and dryer?
We set and connect them once the hookups are ready. Buy them yourself or ask us to include them, and the estimate says which.
My dryer takes forever. Is it the vent?
Often. A long, crushed or lint-packed vent is a common cause. Send a photo behind the dryer and one of the outside cap, and we can price cleaning, a reroute or a new vent.
Do I need a permit for laundry room work?
Cabinets, shelving, flooring and paint usually do not. A new gas line or a new circuit typically does. We tell you which category your job falls into with the estimate.
